About College
Bal Prabhat is a centrally located English medium Boarding School in Pokhara established with public and private partnership concepts. The school is run in its full-fledged youth of 30 years from its establishment by renowned scholars Ranjana Chhetri, Krishna Prasad Ghimire, and Ganga Mani Ojha. The school’s legacy has been handed over to capable and visionary leaders of the young generation. Now, Bal Prabhat has become the platform and pillar of hope for many parents who are already harvesting the fruits from their investment. Owing to out fore founders, we are committed to incorporate the everyday changing phenomena and new opportunities for our students because we believe in dynamism and progressive changes. As a result, we are proudly announcing the launch of the School of Management from this academic year.
Bal Prabhat strongly believes in co-education and learning for real life. We are aware of what is going on every day in society and involve the parents and society members as our source of knowledge. One can feel that Bal Prabhat acts as a small society where students from diverse communities interact. As evidence of this, we have been marching onto International School Award journey 2017/18 for imparting our students with project-based teaching and the development of 21st century skills like critical and creative thinking and problem solving, global citizenship, student’s leadership, collaboration and communication, creativity and imagination, and so on. We have been working with satellite schools like national and international partner schools to develop the wider perspective on international relationships and deeper understanding on the subject matter. Furthermore, the efforts made by its teachers and students have been recognized by the University of KPZ, located in the Netherlands, by presenting us with the coronation of Star School in May, 2017.

BPBS takes pride in its resourceful, well-furnished and ventilated library. It is equipped with daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, and reference materials to enhance true learning through self study. Besides these, every class has Book Buddy.
The school boasts of a well-equipped computer laboratory where students can reach the required references and resources through the internet round the clock.
The school currently manages a comfortable four wheeler for the students as a transportation service, and it is available in the main places of the Pokhara Lekhnath metropolis.
There is a cafeteria which serves the basic varieties of refreshment and is managed inside the school premises. It serves fresh hygienic food at a reasonable price.

Admissions are open in Grade 11 in Science, Management, and Law faculties.
Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory and comprehensive, and your SEE GPA will also play a significant role in getting the scholarship. Subsequently, a one-on-one interview will conducted by the sponsoring college/ institution, which is a must for eligible candidates to attend accompanied by their parents.
Some of our co-curricular activities include debating, elocution, essay writing, painting, drama, project, and excursions.
Our Library is full of text-books, reference books/encyclopedias, and journals/ newspapers/magazines to keep the students well-informed. We have transportation facility as well.

Yes, students should attend on online entrance exam. This is needed to ensure a smooth and fully supported transition to the college and is by no means a “pass/fail” test. Parent interviews will also take place to ensure that their perspectives towards education are logical and relevant for the school’s values and learning goals.

Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit as well as criteria set by National Examinations Board (NEB). Students/ candidates are required to appear in scholarship tests held by the respective institution for which the college admission desk provides you with the dates and time of the test. Since the selection process is transparent, fair and competitive, it is mandatory for all candidates to pass the scholarship tests to acquire a scholarship for higher education.
