Deep Boarding High School, which was established in 1980 with a profound aim of enhancing knowledge of the students through practical education, has already celebrated its silver jubilee in 2005. The school has been 'Deepakalizing' the society and the students with the bright rays of education since its establishment with the motto 'Education is the light of life.'
The school believes in practical based quality education. So, it not only gives emphasis on reading and writing but also gives equal emphasis on extracurricular activities for all-round development of the students. In its friendly educational environment, it provides the students' opportunities to cultivate their minds. The school is deeply concerned about the discipline and behavior of its students. Deep Boarding High School, a five-storied building is situated at Sukkhanagar, Butwal-8, Rupandehi. The building is in five minute's walk to the east from the heart of the city, Milachowk. It is very much close to, the west of, Butwal Hill Park. This scholars' home has a hostel with a homely environment. The hostel has been divided into two sectors for boys and girls. It has a capacity of about 150 students.  As a teaching and non-teaching staff, the school has appointed 75 enthusiastic, devoted, loyal, dexterous, elegant, and qualified personnel. The School has a good canteen for teachers and Students. It has a computerized account system. In addition, students are provided pure drinking water filtered by Euro Guard System.

 
TEACHING METHODOLOGY
The school is committed to provide practical based quality education to the students with proper guidance of the well qualified teachers. The students are taught applying student centered method. The students are taken out to observe important sites and sights for extra knowledge. In addition, audio and visual classes are also provided so as to make the students competent as per the demand of the age. Teacher selection committee selects the required number of teachers from among the candidates / applicants. Teachers are categorized according to their experience and qualification. The school conducts different trainings and seminars for the students, teachers and guardians to create mutual and triangular relationship. Moreover, it awares guardians about their roles so as to create educational environment at home as well.

 
EVALUATION SYSTEM
Deep Boarding High School conducts four exams in every academic year as per the schedule mentioned in the school calendar. Besides terminal exams, monthly test, unit test , class test etc , are also conducted to make the students ready appear the terminal and final exams. The result of the examinations is flashed out on particular dates mentioned in the calendar in the presence of the parents. 40% marks in each subject is a must to pass the examination. At least 80% attendance is required to attend the final exam.

 
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITY
Deep Boarding High School has been focusing on extracurricular activities which are essential for the holistic development of the students. All the students are divided into four houses so that the programs can be conducted effectively and systematically. They are also divided into four levels to provide equal opportunity to the students according to their abilities. They are:
Nursery to one:    1st Level
Two to four:    2nd level
Five to seven:    3rd Level
Eight to ten:    4th Level
Eleven and Twelve     5th Level
