Introduction
Gorkha United Public School was established in 1999 AD (2057 B.S) as a private academic institute initiated and located in Kohalpur, Rajhena, Banke district of Nepal. It is affiliated to the National Examinations Board (NEB) and approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers Ten Plus Two (10+2) programs under Management and Science streams.
Gorkha United Public Secondary School, Kohalpur, Banke provides Montessori to Ten Plus Two level education with moderate and affordable fee structures. It also offers various scholarship facilities for deserving, hard-working, brilliant, Dalit, Janajati, Madhesi, Aadivasi and deprived students.
Gorkha United Public School provides various facilities such as Separate Girls and Boys hostels, Dance, Music, Cafeteria, Insurance, Sports, Library, Science Labs, Transpiration, Computer Labs, educational tours, multimedia, Journal, Parking, scholarship, club, counseling, and conference.
Science Lab
To impart practical knowledge to the students, GUPS
has extended its Science Labs to facilitate the students with all sorts of materials and equipment. It possesses separate labs for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology experiments in which students of High school also transform their theoretical knowledge into practical.
Library & e-Library
GUPS has expanded its Library with a separate study room with the inclusion of thousands of world-class books on Science & Technology, Mathematics, Nepali & English literature, and Encyclopedia along with relevant text-books. GUPS library also acquires thousands of magazines (Daily/ Weekly/Monthly). Along with this library possesses a connection of e-Library through the internet.
Co-Curricular Activities
The study gets no completion without the involvement of Co-curricular activities. Hence throughout the year, the school conducts different activities/competitions
on a weekly basis as house wise competition according to School’s Academic calendar. Besides, the school organizes Mini Running Shield, Annual Sports/Parents’ Day, and GUPS Talent Hunt every year with the active participation of all level students.
Audio/Visual Classes
To provide visual understanding of different theories & hypotheses, the school possesses Audio/Visual aids like separate Laptops, LCD projectors for juniors and senior students with e-classes on a variety of subject topics.
Educational Tour
Educational Tour is an event in which students are able to get the knowledge from outside world rather than only being limited to school premises. During the Educational Tour, students can learn about the beauty of the nature, our history, our culture as well as modern arts and techniques.

Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory, comprehensive, and has to be cleared or on the basis of SEE grades. A personal interview closely conducted by the College Management is compulsory for all students accompanied by their parents.
