It has been growing its popularity in Province 1 of Nepal, particularly in terms of quality and life-enhancing education. The college offers a wealth of scholarship schemes to meritorious and needy students.

In spite of invaluable contributions of private sector to the field of education, the government has adopted discriminatory and discouraging policy for private academic institutions. Still the government is confused with the academic policy and has shown prejudice to the private sector. The institution has to fulfill arduous procedures, terms and conditions for running the institution. The government has created confusion in fulfilling the legal process that has created threat to private institutions. The provision of PAN and process of tax as well as affiliation of an academic institution are contradictory. So, I suggest that the government should be positive about privately run academic institutions and formulate private friendly and encouraging policy which will be beneficial for the nation in enhancing the quality of education.

In my opinion, the government has to bring clear and effective education policies, implement the system of evaluation effectively and prepare time demanding and dynamic curricula. Similarly, the government should prepare education policy to bring all bachelor programs to semester system. Likewise, the grading system has created confusion amid students and parents. On one hand, it has proclaimed that no one fails in grading system, and on the other hand, it has created barriers to getting admission in ten-plus-two education by all SEE graduates showing the reason of low grading.

In spite of such challenging situation, Damak Model Secondary School has ensconced itself to be the pioneer in the field of education in Damak, and it is always one step ahead of others, leaving the legacy for others to pursue. In addition, it imparts the education to students that incorporates competence, good culture and compassion. It is all possible due to amicable cooperation between students, parents/guardians, well-wishers and teaching faculty.
