It is a fast growing, reputed, sustainable and well-established college in province 2. It has maintained its reputation as a Science and IT college in Birgunj and in other swathes of Terai region. Currently, it is running +2 Science, B.Sc. in Computer Science, BCA and B.ScCSIT programs.

Could you please share the distinct features of National Infotech College?

National InfoTech College has its unique name and benchmark in the field of science & technology. It has earned fame among the parents and students as a center of academic excellence particularly in the field of science and technology. The college converts the theoretical concept into practical application. It has adopted visual and interactive methods in teaching and learning activities based on smart classes. The college focuses on individual care based on the aptitude of an individual and imparts life-changing education by developing mojo in them. It has efficient, dedicated, passionate academicians in the management team. The teachers are qualified, dedicated, well experienced, friendly, young and energetic who are always ready to help the students in any way they could. Moreover, it imparts qualitative education at affordable fee structure. Another equally important feature of this college is that it conducts Weekly Test to boost the confidence in students. The college organizes regular supplementary coaching classes to enhance knowledge and confidence of the students. In addition, it prioritizes extra-curricular activities through games and sports. What should be done for bringing remarkable change in the field of education? What suggestions would you like to give to the Provincial and Local bodies in this regard?
In the context of Nepal, the education policy of government is not supportive of private institutions in comparison to institutions of developed countries in the world. The Government has made emasculating and discriminatory policies that would surely dwindle the intensity of educational operations in private institutions. It has created a sense of chagrin and confusion among the investors of private educational institutions. The Chief Minister has proclaimed a slogan titled “Educate the daughters save the daughters”, which is really convincing and inviting; however, the implementation part is in limbo since the current educational policies do not encourage private institutions to go hand in hand with the Government. So, I would like to suggest the Chief Minister to bring private-institution friendly education policies at the soonest possible. In other words, plans, policies and programs should be made after holding a discussion with private institutions and stakeholders.

Birgunj is known as a center of trade and commerce in the present context. Could you share with us the present status of education in Birgunj?
Birgunj carries a glorious history of exceptional tutoring, educational exuberance and cultural enrichment. Thakurram Multiple Campus is the oldest academic heritage of this region. In the course of time, the status of education gradually declined in this region. But in the recent days, it is marching ahead effectively due to the contributions of private educational institutions. If the private educational institutions are ensured an appropriate academic environment by the Government, Birgunj will herald a new era of academic revolution in the future.

What message would you like to convey at last?
Education is the backbone and foundation pillar of developmental work in a country. It opens gateways to progress, prosperity and happiness in an individual life, community, society and in the nation. So, if you have a dream of a prosperous Nepal and prosperous province, we should give priority to academic excellence. So, I hope the Government will welcome genuine academicians to invest and contribute to the education sector. For this, the Government has to ensure an appropriate academic sphere by withdrawing all the existing discriminatory plans, policies and practices that impede the successful implementation of qualitative education. Similarly, enhancing technical education is not only the urgent need of this province but also of the entire nation. So, I suggest the government to ensure adequate financial transactions on technical education and welcome the private sector for their investments in technical education.
