Studies and research have demonstrated that quiz games foster active learning and serve as a motivational catalyst. They also improve the retention of meaningful knowledge by sparking curiosity and practically contextualizing theoretical subjects. In addition to fostering healthy competition, they aid students in honing group work skills and exploring their competencies.

SEE QUIZ CHAMPION is an academic quiz focused on grade ten courses, encompassing Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, IQ, and Current Affairs. It not only supports students in their studies but also inspires them to excel in their examinations. This event marks the second edition organized by College Readers.

The primary aim of hosting such a quiz competition is to assess participants' academic knowledge and engage them in learning activities. The competition is designed to cultivate interest in scientific subjects, incorporating elements of healthy competition.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

• SEE appeared students are eligible for the quiz contest.
• The medium of communication in the event shall be English, if necessary, Nepali language can be used for clarity.
• The competition consists of a qualifying round, semi-final, and grand finale.
• Participants must wear complete school uniforms during the event.
• If there is any tie among the participants, the winner will be declared by asking additional questions.
• Disputes will be resolved by the Judge panel's final decision.
• Participants are not allowed to argue with the quiz personnel or get involved in any violent activities. Else, the team might be expelled from the competition.
• Participants will not be allowed to ask any question to anyone out of the team during the quiz event.
• Participants will not be allowed to answer in others’ turn. In such a case, the question and answer will be canceled.
• The point will not be awarded for the answer given after the time is over.
• A final answer will be valid only answered by the team leader.
• Each team will be comprised of three. There should be three students in one team and a maximum of five teams from one school/college can participate in the quiz.
• If any problem arises, the respective school/college can change their students in the first and second rounds.
• Any rule violations will lead to immediate disqualification.

OBJECTIVES

• To focus on the syllabus of NEB and +2 studies entrance examinations.
• To encourage the students in their studies by providing scholarships with cash prizes.
• To promote quality education in Nepal.
• To bridge NEB and +2 education.
• To familiarize students with reading culture.

FORMAT:

The quiz typically consists of multiple rounds, each focusing on different aspects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English, and GK & IQ. This may include multiple-choice questions, theoretical problem-solving, practical applications, and team dynamics.

EXAM APPLICATION:

Questions have been designed to assist students acquire the highest grade in plus-two entrance examinations. Some questions assess participants' understanding of how concepts of science are applied in real-world scenarios. Questions will also include audio and visuals.

COMPETITIVE SPIRIT :

The quiz is designed to boost competitive spirit and brush up students’ cognition. A varied range of scholarships to study bachelor programs, handsome cash prizes and various opportunities entice students to participate in the quiz with top competitive spirit.

EDUCATIONAL AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES :

Apart from the competitive aspect, SEE Quiz Champion provides valuable educational opportunities for participants to learn new concepts, and expand their horizons of academic pursuits and professional networks by interacting with like-minded individuals and institutions of their choice.

ELIGIBILITY:

• SEE appeared students are eligible to participate in the quiz.
• They should have the payment voucher.
• There should be three students in one team and a maximum of five teams from one school can participate in the quiz.
• Contestants should wear school attire during the quiz event.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

The quiz program will consist of three sessions. The introductory session will be facilitated on ‘Higher Study Prospects and Career Guide in Nepal after SEE’. The quiz session will be followed by a Prize Distribution Session.
