Education is the third eye of human. It helps to accelerate the speed of regular progress and development of the society. As the education contributes for the social empowerment, capacity development and extension, economic, social and cultural integration, social justice and equality, security in difficult situation, it is the social property and power. It is the sharp weapon of producing conscious citizen for society and nation. Step By Step Higher Secondary School was opened up for fulfilling these objectives 25 years ago in 2045 B.S. as a model school. Now, this school holds its own unparalleled identity in Nepal.
Twenty five years, in fact, is a long time in the history of an institution. It has crossed many ups and downs in various fields. Here, I would like to highlight some of the events.
This school has contributed much service to the nation by producing conscious citizens for the maintenance of peace, understanding and co-operation among people, economic, social and cultural development and respect of human rights. In view of the above conceptions it is felt modern education must aim to train the children from their earliest years to inspire them with these ideologies and that from the beginning of their schooling. This school is devoted in this mission since its establishments.
This school has passed its twenty five years how and it is celebrating Silver Jubilee year with various grand programmer. During this period of 25 years it has attained its distinct identity in the country. It is clear to all that since 2055, this school started to send its students to appear at the S.L.C. examination and it has achieved brilliant results every year. In 2055, the first batch students of this school appeared at the S.L.C. examination. The result was cent percent first division with distinction and one student of this school secured first position in English in the whole of Kaski district. In 2057, our student Dipti Baral achieved the first position in SLC in the whole of Gandaki Zone as well as Western Development Region among all girls. Since then the school has been achieving outstanding success with the brilliant record of cent percent students passing in first division with a good number of them in distinction regularly. As a result of the remarkable performance shown by this school, District Education Office, Kaski declared this school as “A” grade school in the year 2059. Similarly, in 2069 SLC, Prabesh Dhakal of our school stood second among the boys in the whole Kaski District and Saru Shrestha of our school become third among the girls of institutional schools in Kaski, District.
Now, this school has conducted 10+2 classes in two streams – Science and Management since 2062. In higher secondary also 100% students have passed with higher marks.
Similarly, in all the classes below the SLC level also, the school has paid much attention towards good result for which the school runs extra classes in the school and hostel to make students fully devoted towards study.
However, it has still a long way to go. The credit of today’s achievement goes to the Founder/Director, Founder/Principal and Teachers as well as other Staff who have contributed a lot in the most sincere and diligent manner. We are confident that the school will go on doing more in its noble service to the cause of education.
