Sunsari Technical School (STS) now Sunsari Technical College(STC) located at Dharan and affiliated to T.U. and CTEVT was established in 2052 B.S. with the objective of providing quality technical education and vocational training. It has now been the best destination for the local as well as country-wide student ever since its establishment. It has produced more than 5000 technical manpower and supported the economic growth of their family as well as ultimately the country economic development. A large number of its product have got well-paid job in local, national and international competitive job-market. STC has now been proved to be one of the best alternatives and only destination for the technical education not only for the target group of its surrounding but for those who are from far remote areas of province no 1 and mid-western development region of Nepal. It is located in an ideally peaceful education environment in Dharan. Facilities
The library maintains good stocks of text books and reference covering science and technology, health education and journals. The library provides an excellent study atmosphere for students, teachers and other. STC library has subscribed various newspaper, magazines and journals. The library is fitted with space for individuals reading and group study.
The computer lab at STC incorporates industry standard IT facilities. The center has a good numbers of latest series computers connected with high speed networks to provide e-mail and internet facilities. The high speed internet facility for all desk-top sets in the building not only for the research works of students and faculty members but also for efficient administration and management system.
The laboratory at STC incorporates industry standard experimental facilities for physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, computer (general and Advance), electronics, electrical, demonstration, pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, first aid, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutics and pharmaceutics chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, office equipments, bench work, automobile workshop, mechanical workshop and drawing hall. Acclaimed faculty members, well known for their dedication are available to facilitate the students a real life exposure for practical learning.
The STC regularly conducts varieties of programs. This cover topics like-presentation skill, leadership skill, IT skills, guidance, personal tutorials. Report writing and exam technique.
Faculty advisory are readily available to students on a regular basis for counseling and advise. They help students in times of stress relating to skill oriented and academic issue. The school has a unit for this service known as placement and counseling unit. This unit also helps the graduate students for the placement in their related areas.
A cafeteria serves hygienic foods and snacks at reasonable price for the students and college staffs. The cafeteria is situated on the clean and peaceful environment.
The STC provides hostel facility to the students at reasonable charge. There are separate accommodation buildings for boys and girls. The hostel is spacey and homely. Besides, the college ensures students personal security and self guided study.

Admissions are open in Grade 11 in Science, Management, and Law faculties.
Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory and comprehensive, and your SEE GPA will also play a significant role in getting the scholarship. Subsequently, a one-on-one interview will conducted by the sponsoring college/ institution, which is a must for eligible candidates to attend accompanied by their parents.

Yes, students should attend on online entrance exam. This is needed to ensure a smooth and fully supported transition to the college and is by no means a “pass/fail” test. The official pre-admission process begins from Ashadh month every year but as the seats are limited, you will be able to reserve seats prior to the date once you are notified of your selection.

Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit as well as criteria set by National Examinations Board (NEB). Students/ candidates are required to appear in scholarship tests held by the respective institution for which the college admission desk provides you with the dates and time of the test. Since the selection process is transparent, fair and competitive, it is mandatory for all candidates to pass the scholarship tests to acquire a scholarship for higher education.
