The School has created a home-away-from-home environment within both the boys and girls hostels which are supervised by specially trained teachers who are responsible for the security, pastoral requirements, academic studies and free time activities for all hostel students. Every month the second Saturday is designated for parents/guardians to meet with their children between 12:00 am and 15:00 pm. Borders are permitted to sign out on the last Friday of each month against the strict requirement of reporting back to their hostel by 5:00 pm on Sunday unless prior permission has been obtained.

Separate and well-equipped laboratories of science at Valley Public are experimental and innovative hubs for the students to do hands-on experiments, following the scientific method of testing the theories and hypotheses taught in class. Students have the opportunities to design scientific investigations, engage in reasoning, manipulate equipment, record data, analyze results, and discuss their findings. These skills and knowledge, fostered by laboratory investigations, are an important part of scientific inquiry-the process of asking questions and conducting experiments as a way to understand the world around them. Laboratory experiments at Valley Public help students learn to work independently and collaboratively, use scientific reasoning and appropriate laboratory techniques to define and solve problems, and draw and evaluate conclusions based on evidences. Labs here correlate closely with classroom instructions and are not a separate activity. And Valley Public has ensured that each student here avails that opportunity to participate in those investigations in a safe and convenient environment.

The well-equipped and furnished information technology centre is installed with the latest technology enabling students to learn in a fully operational and proactive learning environment centrally controlled by information technology experts. Both senior and junior grades enjoy access to the information technology centre.

The library at Valley Public is home to hundreds of original and updated books ranging in subjects from science and technology to art and literature, and everything in general. The materials in the collection include fiction, non-fiction, text books, reference books, research reports, journals and magazines. The library provides students a facility to take books home that makes reading more convenient and fun. The e-section of the library houses over two dozen highly-configured computers with Internet connectivity, making online study, research and entertainment an experience like never before. Through regular weekly library classes for each grade, the world of knowledge, brought even closer and broader.

 The rapidly expanding library enjoys a wide selection of publications for all grades enabling project research and the assimilation of general knowledge. In addition, students have access to the e-library to further assist with their studies and there is a children's section for junior and pre-primary students.

The audio-visual centre is designed to provide facilities to further assist studies, and for extracurricular use. The center is equipped with audio-visual devices such as multimedia projector and amplified speakers that enhance the experience of watching and listening. Regular e-classes at the centre provide students with the opportunity to see the lessons taught in class come alive in rich sound and high-definition graphics, making the experience an unforgettable part of their learning.

Each Friday classes terminate at 1:00 or 1:45 pm to enable students for the participation in a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities in order to stimulate their interest in an extensive range of activities aligned to individual interests and aspirations. Students enjoy access to a wide range of clubs such as music, dance, debate, environment, arts and crafts and various service and academic clubs. Valley Public strongly endorses sporting activities that develops team building, team work, team spirit and the ability to be a successful in life. High priority is given to regular training and participation in a wide range of sports including basketball, football, table-tennis, martial arts, swimming and athletics frequently under the direction of National and International Coaches. Valley Public has earned a wide reputation in successful tournament participation and the selection of students to represent Nepal in a wide range of international events.

The School is aware of its social responsibility by undertaking activities in support of the local community through events such as tree planting, ward and community cleaning, awareness campaign  socio-psycho counseling and so on.

Keeping in mind the need to learn from first-hand experiences and observations, the School takes students for regular field visits and tours to places of cultural, historical & religious importance. Likewise, our school broadens students' knowledge and skills organizing seminars and talk shows with faculties and representatives from reputed organizations in and outside the country. These practices are the result of our belief that events like these keep students informed and their interest in studies intact. The School's dedicated transport fleet is maintained to the highest standard by fully qualified mechanics with experienced and responsible drivers providing a pick-up and drop-off facility covering the majority of Kathmandu Valley. Dedicated and trained staff accompany all buses to ensure students' safety travel to school from home and to home from school.
